My assignment is done, complete, finished, c’est terminé! I can now spend my free time more fruitfully, stare at the ocean, people watch, swim, sleep on the deck, sleep on the pool, toss pebbles in the ocean. I didn’t want to post for the heck of posting but I felt compelled to share some of the views from my vacation. I struggled and managed to take a long run this morning and ran into these guys right next to the sidewalk. When it comes to nature and wildlife, I possess the excitement of a four year old boy in an ice-cream shop. The little tortoise was so curious and patiently stationed himself on the grass next to the sidewalk, probably people watching. The black rat snake on the other hand was shy and ran away fast as soon as I tried to get up close, that and I was mortally frightened.
I do enjoy the brief respite from not cooking but I do miss being in my kitchen.
